going back to the calorie counting cos I actually don’t know if I’m doing good or bad

For a while I’ve been thinking that I don’t look different at all, so I went through old photos and discovered I have made a lot of progress!
I’ve been focusing on losing weight for almost 2 years now, and i’m constantly starting and stopping because of boys, school,  depression, self-harm and other teenage issues.  
At the beginning I had the worst mind frame, but recently I’ve decided that I don’t want to see the number on the scale go down, I want to look in the mirror and like what I see, lose body fat % and gain tone, put progress photos together and see a difference, feel my clothes fitting differently, feeling my body work better and feeling radiant. 

I still have a lot more I want to achieve and I don’t think I’ll ever stop changing and challenging myself. 

For reference, I am 5”6.


28th May

Breakfast - 3 weetabix golden syrup biscuits with almond milk

Lunch - ham and branston pickle sandwich, cheese& onion crisps, 2 finger kit kat

Dinner - meatball panini with fries and light mayo

Snacks - can of fanta, 2 cookies

Water - 500ml

Exercise - 15 minutes walk

27th May

Breakfast - 0

Lunch - pork sunday lunch, glass of dr pepper

Dinner - ham salad sandwich, 2 finger kit kat, worcester french fries, 1 slice sponge cake

Snacks - 1 and a bit cans of monster, 2 scoops of cookie dough ice-cream, 2 bottles of cider

Water - 500ml evian


26th May

Breakfast - Go ahead! Yoghurt bars

Lunch- Ham salad sandwich with salad cream, small pear, cheese& onion walkers, piece of rock

Dinner - 3 slices of meat feast pizza, 2 small onion rings, handful of chips

Snacks - 1x monster

Water - 500ml flavoured

Exercise - 4 hours hard work, 20 minutes walk


25th May

Breakfast - 1x butter on toast, 1x jam on toast

Lunch - chicken and mushroom pot noodle, quavers, cherry greek yoghurt

Dinner - spaghetti bolognaise, 1x small baguette

Snacks - fruit pastilles, 1x monster, 2x cups of tea, solero ice pop

Exercise - 15 minutes school run, 40 minutes walking dog

Lunch - ham salad sandwich with salad cream, walkers cheese& onion stars, 4 finger kit kat

Dinner - 7” bolognaise and onion pizza 

Snacks - cup of tea, tiny piece of cake, doritos

I love all the motivational posts here on Tumblr but we don’t see enough pictures of overweight people exercising. The reality is that we’re not all fit yet but that doesn’t mean that we’re not doing our best to reach our goal. I have so much respect for people who make efforts, no matter what their size or shape is, that I thought I would dedicate them a post.

23rd May

Breakfast - 2x golden syrup weetabix, almond milk, banana, cup of tea

Lunch - low fat cheese on toast 2 slices, worchester french fries

Dinner - bowl of fusilli pasta, dolmio sauce pot spicy pepperoni and tomato, 1 slice of white bread

Snacks - fruit pastilles, square of dairy milk, yazoo milkshake, small glass of irn bru

Water - 1 bottle (500ml) strawberry

Exercise - work 4 hours, walking very fast to bus stop :)


22nd May

Breakfast - Cup of tea, home-made banana & choc chip muffin (small), tiny bowl of honey cherrios with SS milk.

Lunch - ham with branston pickle sandwich, worcester french fries.

Dinner - 4 small slices of cheese pizza, home made chips, chilli dip and light mayo

Snacks - cupf of tea, 2x cans of monster, 1/2 bag of doritos, tube of fruit pastilles

Exercise - 15 minute school run, 40 minutes walking the dog
